Enterprise architecture and business process management are not what they used to be.
As a former lead analyst at Forrester Research, and currently as Chief Excelerator at Digital FastForward, I work closely with enterprise architects and business process leaders to build their digital transformation strategies and roadmaps. The clients I work with realize the importance of building new internal skills and capabilities to take advantage of emerging digital strategies, technologies, and practices. But struggle to identify exactly which skills and practices are most essential to drive effective digital transformations.
In 2005, I faced a similar challenge. I had just accepted a job as Practice Lead, at a mid-sized management consulting firm. There I faced the daunting task of building a new business process management practice from scratch. To boost my confidence and build a strong foundation of business process management skills, I completed a Professional Certificate program which provided me with the knowledge I needed to build my BPM practice. It also gave me the confidence to help clients deliver large-scale process change initiatives globally.
Today, enterprise architects and business process professionals must learn a completely new skill set – Digital Process Automation. This new skill set requires a mix of soft and hard skills, combining customer experience and design thinking with digital operations, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
That’s why Digital FastForward has teamed up with American University and Pegasystems to help innovative professionals thrive in the emerging field of Digital Process Automation. Over the last six months, we have worked collaboratively to design and launch the world’s first Digital Process Automation Certificate offered by a major university.
This program is geared towards enterprise architects and business process professionals who need to make the shift from BPM to Digital Process Automation. The Digital Process Automation Certificate is a hands-on program designed to help you build the skills needed to scope, manage, and deliver large scale digital process automation projects and initiatives.
Are you ready to conquer this brave new frontier?
